Cameroon RENEWED Stakeholders Meeting in Bafoussam, Cameroon

The Cameroon RENEWED project, funded by the European Union #EU, is making strides in strengthening the capacity of vocational training institutions in the country. Partner organizations, including Society for the Promotion of initiatives in Sustainable Development and Welfare (SOPISDEW) Cameroon, H4BF-CAMEROON, Noorderpoort, Apro Formazione, MasterPeace, and @Forest and Agroforestry Promoter [FAP NGO Cameroon], recently held a stakeholder session in Bafoussam, Cameroon to brainstorm on different aspects of the project.

In addition to the brainstorming meetings, the partner organizations engaged with administrative, local and traditional authorities of the region, including the governor of the West region of Cameroon, to update them on the objectives and expected outcomes of the project. The team also visited some renewable energy facilities in the region.

The project aims to make a positive impact through the development of training, exchange of trainers, students and staff, and execution of renewable energy projects. The project covered programs including Solar, Hydro, and Wind Energy as well as business Management.

Classes have already begun at HOPE FOR A BETTER FUTURE VOCATIONAL TRAINING INSTITUTE ( HOBEFI ) in Bamenda, Cameroon and registration is still ongoing for potential students.
